Vumatel goes live with 1 Gbps in South Africa – first in Africa?

Vumatel has begun offering 1 Gbps services in Parkhurst in South Africa.  This may be the first service of it’s kind in the continent and shows the attractiveness of FTTH, even in more challenging environments.

We are delighted to see our client Vumatel launching services in South Africa based on Ventura Next’s revolutionary approach to open-access.

“Ventura Next supplies a turn-key solution to manage our open access FTTH network, including hardware, software and expertise. Their knowledge of the FTTH challenges obtained through years of experience is valuable in assisting us to avoid common pitfalls as we embark on the FTTH journey. VenturaNext has provided a robust Active Ethernet solution which we believe will future-proof our network over the long run. Their entrepreneurial spirit has also complimented our own and enabled the pilot project to get off the ground in record time.”

Vumatel CEO Niel Schoeman.

We got the high quality service up and running fast and reduce the complexity of connecting subscribers to a myriad of different services so that it seems very simple.

Congratulations to Niel and his team for their hard work and thank you for choosing our solution – number one in the hardest open-access market (Sweden) and now being deployed across the globe.
